Media In Life
This picture above is drawn by yours truly. This actually shows how media affects my everyday life. There are 4 Social Media platforms on a speech bubble. These are the apps I use most of the time on my phone. I use Facebook to get in touch with my friends and family. I use twitter to post my insights on the things that have happened to me and this serves like my digital diary too. I also have my own Instagram account and there, I post pictures of myself and even my travels. I also love being on Youtube whenever I have free time. I watch different influencers and how-to hacks.
As you can see, there’s a lot going on on my phone. I admit that almost of half of my day is taken by these apps. Whenever I’m bored or even busy, I always try to check my phone and my news feed. It somehow affects me in both negative and positive way. With these apps, I tend to cram doing my homeworks and even forget to hangout with people I love. It is as if I’m in my own world. I do regret it but I am actually on the process of changing that bad habit of mine. But what’s good on being on my phone most of the time is that I am always informed on the things that are happening around me. I have been following news agencies and people around me have been doing that as well. Because of this, we are able to share to each other the news we have received. Plus, being on these platforms make me more knowledgeable. With the videos that share pure facts, make me more interested to wait for updates.
As you can see, media has its own pros and cons. It’s up to the user on how he/she’ll use it. So, I hope you be mindful as well on using media. Remember, it is there to help us and make things easier for us but not to take over our lives.
